Workshops - Call for Proposals

Proposal submission deadline: Feb 27, 2026 11:59 PM AOE or

Notification of acceptance: Apr 12, 2026

Workshop dates: 8th, 9th of September 2026

LocationMalmö, Sweden

We solicit proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV) 2026 in Malmö, Sweden.

We welcome proposals for emerging topics that are not expected to be fully explored at the main conference. The purpose of workshops is to provide a comprehensive forum and encourage in-depth discussion of various technical and application issues in our research field. Workshop registration, venue, and proceedings will be handled by the ECCV organizers as part of the main conference.

Since both space and time are limited, we expect the selection process to be competitive. The workshop chairs will evaluate the submissions on the basis of several criteria, including the topic coverage and relevance, the proposers’ credentials, the diversity of the organizing team and speakers, and the interested audience. Proposers may be asked to provide additional information, modify parts of their proposals, or combine them with another proposal.

If they wish to have their selected papers included in the official proceedings, workshop organizers will be requested to adopt OpenReview and to comply with the ECCV workshop camera-ready deadline, which will be announced. In those cases, workshop chairs will provide the organizers with specific requirements for their OpenReview workshop platform setup and reviewing process.

Submission guidelines
Proposals consist of a PDF document and filling out the online form at this link by Feb 27, 2026 11:59 PM AOE or . The PDF is limited to 5 pages and needs to adhere to this ECCV template (references not counted for page limit). Specific information must be included in both the PDF and the online form, respecting the maximum character limits. Overall, the application documents need to include the following information:

  • Workshop title;
  • Proposers’ names, titles, affiliations, and primary contact email;
  • Relevant keywords summarizing the workshop topic;
  • Relevance of Topic: Description of the topics that will be covered and their relevance to the computer vision community;
  • Relevance of Organizers: Experience that makes the proposers well-suited for organizing the workshop and their relevance in the computer vision community;
  • Tentative program outline (including preference for a half- or full-day event, estimated numbers of orals, posters, and invited talks);
  • Names and bios of any tentative/confirmed invited speakers;
  • How diversity and inclusion in the organizing team and speakers are promoted (gender, race, seniority, affiliations, interdisciplinarity of topics and points of view);
  • Anticipated target audience as well as expected number of attendees;
  • Description of how this proposal relates to previous workshops at CVPR/ICCV/ECCV (be as specific as possible);
  • Any special space or equipment requests.

Notes

  • Two special sections must be included: Relevance of Topic (max 2000 characters) and Relevance of Organizers (max 1500 characters). These must have the same content as the corresponding fields of the submission form.
  • One of the organizers must submit the form with a valid Google account – this is to allow deduplication and prevent spam. There is a limit of one workshop submission per account. To be clear, the same co-organizer can be a part of different workshop submissions, but only submit one form at most.
