Call for Participation: ECCV 2026 Doctoral Consortium
Overview
The Doctoral Consortium (DC) at ECCV 2026 aims to support PhD students in the final stages of their doctoral studies, as well as recent graduates, by fostering interaction with senior members of the computer vision community. Each participant is matched with an experienced researcher who serves as a mentor, selected according to the student’s research interests or stated preferences. The consortium includes an in-person session held during the conference, where students can discuss their ongoing research and career trajectories with their mentors. In addition, each student presents a poster featuring their thesis or a recent publication to fellow participants and mentors.
Eligibility
Students must be conducting research in computer vision and be within 6 months (before or after) of graduating with their doctoral degree, taking into account the conference dates.
Submission Guidelines
Students who meet the eligibility requirements should submit an application via [openreview.net LINK]
The application must include the following materials, compiled into a single PDF file:
-
The applicant’s CV.
-
A two-page research statement summarizing the applicant’s research and progress to date.
-
The title and author list of the poster to be presented at the consortium, which may or may not also be presented at ECCV 2026.
-
A signed letter from the applicant’s advisor confirming the actual or estimated date of graduation.
-
The first and last names and email addresses of seven potential mentors, ranked from most to least preferred. Applicants should identify researchers from industry or academia whose work is relevant to their own, or whose feedback would be particularly valuable for other reasons. The applicant’s advisor must not be listed as a mentor.
All required materials must be submitted as a single PDF file.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.
Review Process
If the number of applications exceeds available capacity, selections will be made based on the submitted materials and the applicant’s expected graduation date, with the goal of supporting a diverse group of students across institutions and research areas.
Travel Awards
We suggest that students consult the 'travel grant support' provided by the ECCV 2026 conference.
Poster Format
Please follow the general ECCV 2026 poster guidelines, as the DC will adhere to the same format. Students are responsible for printing their own posters and bringing them to the DC session. During the event, participants may use any available poster board in the designated DC room, as poster numbers will not be assigned.
